303 has good corrosion resistance, free machining.
It is not suitable for welding or forming.

304 has good corrosion resistance.
It is suitable for forming and welding, average machining.

316 the best grade, has excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for forming and welding, but is a little harder to machine.
