According to the statistics report from Japanese Steel Association on 1^st, August, Japan imported 423,000 tons general steel materials in June, increased by 15% compared with the same period last year, this is the 18^th continuous growing month. From single month importation amount, it is the second highest importation record which exceeds 400,000 tons except for Apr, 2005.

  The main importation sources come from Asian countries, 232,000 tons from Korea, 113,000 tons from China, 73,000 tons from Taiwan China.
